With the increase in deliveries, the FCC has received complaints about delivery notification scam calls and texts, proving once again that fraudsters are following the trends and adapting their scams to steal your money and information.
Many delivery scams start with a text message or an email about delivering a package to your address, according to the Better Business Bureau. These messages often include a "tracking link" that you are urged to click in order to update your delivery or payment preferences. You might also get a voicemail message with a call-back number, or a "missed delivery" tag on your door with a number to call.
Please Update And Verify Your Information !!!
In some cases, a link may open a website that prompts you to enter personal information, or it may install malware on your phone or computer that can secretly steal personal information. The number you call back may be answered by a scam "operator" asking to verify your account information or the credit card number you used for a purchase. Other scam calls and texts may claim you need to pay a customs fee or tax before the delivery can be made.
The FCC COVID-19 consumer guide offers information about coronavirus scams and how you can avoid becoming a victim, along with helpful tips on cell phone hygiene and optimizing your home wireless network, and more.

Note, however, that you cannot update the marital status of an already independent student whose dependency status has not changed because of his or her marriage or divorce and who was not selected for verification. If the Pell Grant is reduced and the student received an interim disbursement, adjust following disbursements as necessary. Failing that, the student should reimburse the Pell Grant Program, or, if he or she does not return the overpayment, your school must reimburse the Pell program with its funds. If the student received Pell Grant money as a regular disbursement, he or she is responsible for repaying the overpayment. See Volume 4, Chapter 3 for information on overpayments.
Corrections and updates sent by a school must be based on reliable documentation in its possession that supports the changes to applicant data or signed documentation from the student or parent of a dependent student. Examples of reliable documentation include applications for admission, acceptance letters, course registration information, or academic transcripts. Examples of signed documentation from a student or parent on which corrections and updates may be based include Part 2 of the SAR, a copy of the correction or update, student/parent statement, verification documents, or copies of tax returns or transcripts. Unlike those for the original application, these do not have to wet signatures.

For customers whose products are covered by consumer protection laws or regulations in their country, region, or state of purchase, the service coverage described in the System may not reflect all rights and remedies conveyed by such consumer protection laws and regulations. This may include the right of customers in California and other jurisdictions to have the warranty period extended for the number of whole days that the product has been out of the customer's hands for warranty repairs. In order to calculate the number of days that the warranty period is extended, Apple may require customers to submit the original sales receipt of your product and repair service documentation. Please also note that the information in the System does not reflect any other additional programs that may extend Apple's coverage, like those described on the Exchange and Repair Extension Programs page.
The service coverage information described in the System is based on the date of purchase information available to Apple. Depending on when or whether you registered your product, if you purchased it from an Apple authorized reseller or Apple Store, the estimated purchase date may be incorrect. If you believe that the information is inaccurate, please update the information by contacting Apple using the appropriate link on this page. Recently submitted information and repair service warranty coverage may not be reflected in the System records. Customers may not use the System for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited, or to solicit the performance of any illegal activity or other activity that infringes the rights of Apple or others.
Please put your product's sales receipt, and if applicable, AppleCare Proof of Coverage document in a safe place. You may be asked to provide a copy of these if there is any question as to your product's eligibility for service coverage under the warranty or AppleCare service contract. When seeking service, Apple may request that you submit the original sales receipt of your product to verify eligibility for warranty service, even if you have already registered your product. Your warranty is the same whether or not you register.
If the estimated expiration date of your Telephone Technical Support, Limited Warranty, or AppleCare agreement for your serial number is incorrect, please contact us. A sales receipt with the receipt number, product description, original date of purchase, price, and reseller details constitutes a valid proof of purchase.
These messages may impersonate a company, charity, or government agency and often make up an urgent request to convince you to sign on to a fake site, open an email attachment containing malware, or respond with personal or account information. The information you provide can be used to commit identity theft or access your account to steal money.
Phone numbers can be spoofed to impersonate legitimate companies. If someone calls asking for your PIN, temporary access code, or online banking password, hang up. Call the number on the back of your Wells Fargo card or the website to verify the request.
We may also send you a temporary access code to verify your identity based on an action you have taken, such as when you sign on or use Zelle. If you receive an unexpected access code, do not provide it to anyone who contacts you asking for it and call us immediately.
Please note that due to technical reasons, some email messages forwarded to reportphish@wellsfargo.com may be rejected by our server. If this occurs, please delete the suspicious email or text message. Wells Fargo regularly works to detect fraudulent emails and websites. The Postal Service text message scam usually claims there's an unspecified problem with delivering a package, and, because of that issue, it "cannot be delivered." In order to resolve the issue, the messages ask for payment or fees (sometimes $1.99 or $3), and for the recipient to update their personal financial information on a scammy website.
